Deciding which cocktail to batch for a party is of course entirely up to your libational predilections, but putting a holiday twist on a classic drink is never a bad look. This take on the Old Fashioned features gingerbread and maple syrup for some yuletide flavor, plus a bit of rosemary for olfactory effect.

A Spirited Spirit-Free Version: For a delicious spirit-free version, ditch the Triple Sec and replace the whiskey with a very strong oversteeped black tea — it’s a-okay if the tea is bitter, the sweet from the syrups will balance it out to create a nuanced (and festive) overall flavor.
